Stuart Mamer has practiced law with the firm since being admitted to the bar in 1947.
He served five years as commissioner of the Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission and is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation and the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel. In addition, he served six years as a member of ACTEC's Board of Regents.
A graduate of the University of Illinois College of Law, Mr. Mamer taught in the College for 20 years.
In his practice, he specializes in the areas of probate, trusts, real estate and tax law.
His community affiliations include serving 50 years on the Board of the Children's Home and Aid Society, as president of the United Fund, drive chairman of its fund campaign and president of the Board of the McKinley Foundation.
He has served as a lecturer at seminars presented by the Illinois Institute of Continuing Legal Education on the subject of taxation, and is the author of a chapter in the Estate Administration Handbook published by IICLE.
