James D. Green concentrates his practice in the area of general civil litigation, as well as insurance defense, real estate and general business matters.A native of Champaign-Urbana, Jim has been licensed to practice law in Illinois since 1990 and in Missouri since 1989.
He received a bachelor's degree in business administration from Illinois Wesleyan University in 1983, and a law degree from St. Louis University in 1989.
Jim has been active in local government, where he served as a member of the Champaign City Council from 1999-2005 and the Champaign Plan Commission from 1997-1999. By appointment of the mayor, he also served on the U.S. Route 150 Steering Committee, the Champaign County Convention and Visitors Bureau Board of Directors, and the Champaign Liquor Advisory Commission.
Jim's civic involvement includes serving as a member and former Vice-President of the Kiwanis Club of Champaign-Urbana and Co-Chairman of the C-U Little League Baseball Committee.
