Craig J. Causeman joined Thomas, Mamer & Haughey, LLP in 1980 and became a partner in 1985. He devotes a majority of his practice to the area of workers' compensation law, but is also developing a practice handling business and estate issues for new clients. He practices before the Illinois Workers' Compensation Commission and in the Illinois Circuit, Appellate and Supreme Courts.He received a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Illinois and his law degree from Southern Illinois University. He served as an editor of the law journal and is published in the area of workers' compensation law. He speaks often at seminars and continuing education programs on law-related subjects.
Craig is active in fundraising and special events for the National Arthritis Foundation and several other charitable organizations. He has also been active with the United Way, serving on the Board of Directors and as Chairman of its Allocation's Panel for two years. He and his family have served as hosts for exchange students from Brazil, Denmark and France.
Craig resides in Champaign with his wife, Sue, and daughter, Kate. He enjoys travel, reading and many different sports in which he actively participates. His goal is to play on the Seniors' Golf Tour, now reachable based on age, but apparently unattainable due to a "talent" component of that Tour.
