A partner with Thomas, Mamer & Haughey, LLP since 1983, David Bailie joined the firm in 1981. He previously held the position of First Assistant State's Attorney in the Champaign County State's Attorney's office where he was responsible for administration of that office as well as conducting prosecution of felony offenses.

Mr. Bailie practices civil litigation and concentrates in the areas of general insurance defense, medical and hospital malpractice defense, legal malpractice defense, products liability defense, civil rights defense and dram shop defense.

A 1975 graduate of the University of Illinois College of Law, Mr. Bailie was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 1975. He is also admitted to practice in the U.S. District Courts for the Central and Southern Districts of Illinois, the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and the United States Supreme Court.

Mr. Bailie is a member of the Federation of Insurance and Corporate Counsel.
